大学生のあみりと卓郎は幼馴染で昔から仲が良く、最近交際しはじめた。卓郎の父とおるは仕事人間で真面目な性格だが、妻とは離婚していた。息子の彼女に魅力を感じるがよくないと自制していた。そんな中、とおるは仕事をクビになってしまう。あみりは励ますつもりでいった言葉にとおるは深く傷つき、怒りを覚える。
